They’re dropping like flies — then getting back up to run the country.

The U.S. has an elderly problem. The problem isn’t so much the people themselves, but the fact that they’re running our government. While elderly people in other countries enjoy a peaceful countryside retirement surrounded by their family, it seems that every geriatric in the ol’ U.S. of A. has a one-way ticket to the halls of power.

This has been a problem for a while, but it really seems like the old folks in Congress are dabbing on us as of late. Not only are they, well, still there, but they’re continuing to have incidents that show that they’re really, really not fit to stay in office — and yet, they’re doing it anyway. Not helping matters is the fact that they get nearly unlimited healthcare at a secret hospital for just $54 a month!

Here’s a rundown of all of the people currently or formerly in our government who have had an elderly incident in the past year alone, alongside their respective age. Note that these are just the ones that had public meltdowns — I’m sure things are a lot worse in private.

Special shoutout to journalist Ken Klippenstein for being the only one who seems to be cataloging this!
